Kuma II

Kuma II’s Personality and Story Role
Unlike his father, Kuma I, who was known for his fierce aggression, Kuma II carries a gentler soul beneath all that fur. Locals across Southeast Asia, initially terrified at the sight of him during disaster relief missions, quickly warm up to his playful nature and tireless work ethic. In Tekken 8, grief and duty collide: he charges toward the Mishima Zaibatsu headquarters only to find it already surrendered, forcing him to fight alone in Heihachi’s spirit. His unrequited obsession with Panda adds a layer of bittersweet comedy to an otherwise determined warrior, and his TV addiction remains one of the series’ most endearing running gags.
Fighting Style
Kuma II fights using Heihachi-Style Advanced Kuma Shin Ken, a martial art created specifically for a bear’s frame by Heihachi himself. His long arms give him exceptional reach on punches and whiff punishes, compensating for his short legs and limited kick range. In Tekken 8, he dons Heihachi’s iconic gi and begins secretly developing a weapon at Mishima Heavy Industries to turn the tide against G Corp.
Who Voices Kuma II in Tekken 8?
Kuma II does not have a traditional human voice actor. He communicates entirely through bear growls, roars, and grunts, which are interpreted and understood by other characters within the Tekken universe. This “language barrier” mechanic has been a consistent and charming part of his character since his debut in Tekken 3.
