Marshall Law

Marshall Law’s Story Role
His son’s motorcycle accident set off a chain reaction that stripped Law of nearly everything he built. While trying to find a replacement teacher to save his struggling school, every deal fell through, and the dojo was seized as collateral in his absence. With Paul Phoenix as his only true ally, Law makes a pact to split the winnings and heads to the mountains for one final push of intense training before the tournament. It is the kind of all-or-nothing mindset that has defined him since day one.
Marshall Law’s Personality
At his core, Law is someone who genuinely loves the people around him, putting family above everything else even when his hasty choices make things worse. He jumps into new plans headfirst, loses his patience quickly, and sometimes lets his fists do the talking before his brain catches up. Over the course of the series he has grown more mature, adding a sense of justice to his usual money-driven hustle, but that old impulsive fire never really goes away.
Fighting Style and Gameplay
Modeled unmistakably after Bruce Lee, Law fights with no shirt, decorated trousers, and armed with nunchaku in Tekken 8. His martial arts style thrives at close range, built around lightning-fast pokes and confusing high-low mixups that keep opponents guessing. Players who master the art of conditioning, forcing the pace and controlling space, will find him one of the most rewarding characters to run.
Who Voices Marshall Law in Tekken 8?
David Vincent returns as the English voice of Marshall Law, a role he has held since Tekken 6. Vincent is widely recognized in the anime dubbing world for playing Archer and Gilgamesh in the Fate series, as well as Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez in Bleach. For his in-battle grunts and shouts, Tekken series producer Katsuhiro Harada himself provides the battle voice, a tradition that carries over into Tekken 8.
