He is best known for playing youthful protagonists in anime, such as Gintoki Sakata in Gintama, Kyon in The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Hideki Motosuwa in Chobits, Yūichi Aizawa in Kanon, Joseph "JoJo" Joestar in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, and Rin Tsuchimi in Shuffle!, among many others. He also played Taurus Aldebaran in Saint Seiya: The Lost Canvas, Escanor in The Seven Deadly Sins and Chamber in Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet.
