Dr. Fuzzby

Dr. Fuzzby’s Role in Zootopia 2
When Judy Hopps insists there’s been a “misunderstanding” and that she and Nick Wilde don’t actually need therapy, Fuzzby has already clocked the problem. Calm, patient, and methodically observant, she runs her sessions with a water bottle and a safe word (“coconut”), doing her best to navigate everything from inter-species aggression to emotional deflection. The quokka’s trademark move is flagging uncomfortable truths with cheerful precision — she’s the only one in the room who isn’t pretending everything is fine. That said, a certain bluntness runs underneath the professional warmth; she’ll point out your shortcomings with a smile that doesn’t invite debate. By the film’s end credits, she’s out at Burning Mammal, dancing to Gazelle’s “Zoo” beside her trusty spray bottle — proof that even the therapist needs to decompress.
Who Voices Dr. Fuzzby in Zootopia 2?
Emmy Award-winning actor and writer Quinta Brunson brings Dr. Fuzzby to life in the English version. Brunson, best known as the creator and star of Abbott Elementary — a role that made her the first Black woman in over 40 years to win Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series at the Emmys — brings that same sharp, understated comic timing to Fuzzby’s sessions with Judy and Nick. In the Japanese dub, the role goes to Nana Mizuki, one of Japan’s most celebrated voice actresses and recording artists, known widely for voicing Hinata Hyuga across the Naruto franchise and Anne Takamaki in Persona 5.
