Richard White (born August 4, 1953, in Oak Ridge, Tennessee) is an American voice actor, opera singer, and stage performer best known for giving Gaston his iconic booming baritone in Disney's Beauty and the Beast (1991). Trained in classical opera and a Broadway veteran since his 1979 debut in The Most Happy Fella, White brought a rare theatrical depth to animation,making Gaston one of Disney's most memorable villains. His most recent major role as a video game voice actor came in 2025 with LEGO Disney Princess: Villains Unite, reprising Gaston once again and proving that after three decades, nobody does it like Richard White.
