Hopper started covering events on 5 continents as a photojournalist in 1988. He photographed, among other things, Famine in Somalia, Coup in Soviet Union and Peacekeeping operations in Cambodia. Opted for safer work environs in 1997 and started shooting production stills. Has lived in Helsinki, Rome and Mexico City. He speaks 5 languages (English, Finnish, Swedish, Spanish and Italian). He has a BA in Scandinavian Philology from University of Wisconsin - Madison, 1984. He has been a scuba Instructor since 2000. He is a Member of IATSE Local 600 and Society of Motion Picture Still Photographers (SMPSP).Retired Padi Scuba Instructor . Certified diver since 1976.
