Kwan fell into voice acting after moving to Hong Kong from Canada in 1997. Despite having no formal acting training at the time, through hard work and on the job training, Kwan worked 14 years doing dub work in Hong Kong including voice direction and managing and troubleshooting studio operations at Omni Productions.[1][2]
