He intercepts emergency transmissions, coordinates supply drops of rings and smart bombs to Arwings mid-mission, repairs shield-depleted fighters between sorties, and delivers the kind of blunt tactical analysis that no human crew member would dare voice aloud. His deadpan delivery of assessments like “zero percent possibility of success” doesn’t make him the team’s morale officer, but it absolutely makes him their most reliable one. The 2026 remake, a cinematic reimagining built around fully voiced dialogue and expanded cutscenes, gives ROB a sharper presence than ever, his mechanical composure contrasting with the chaos unfolding in the Lylat system around him.
