John White is a former NSA agent in the video game InFAMOUS 2. He was originally undercover to investigate the First Sons and their experiments related to the Ray Sphere. John White was thought to be dead after the first game but is revealed to be alive and has become the embodiment of “The Beast,” a powerful and destructive force in the game. His character arc involves him suffering from disorientation and impulses that lead to destruction, but he eventually regains control and reveals a powerful plague afflicting the city. John believes the only solution is to use his powers to heal all Conduits (people with powers), even if it means destroying humanity. The player faces an ultimate choice to either stop him and destroy the plague at the cost of Conduits or side with him to create a new era for the Conduits.
