Cassius Morten is one of Crimson Desert‘s most compelling antagonists,voiced by Scott Arthur, known for roles in Elden Ring and Xenoblade Chronicles 3. a disgraced knight of Calphade branded a traitor by Marquis Stefan Lanford himself. You face him at the climax of Chapter 6: Cracks in the Shield, inside Calphade Castle at the end of the Unyielding Shields questline in the Hernand region.

Once a protector of the realm, Cassius fights with a tower shield and mace, wielding dark power in a duel-style encounter that’s as cinematic as it is brutal. His arena is packed with stone pillars, not decoration, but your biggest tactical advantage. Use Kliff’s Nature’s Grasp to grab broken pillars and slam them into Cassius for massive burst damage, wiping out roughly 25% of his health in a single hit. Defeat him and claim the Shield of Betrayal, a story-tied drop that closes one of the game’s best chapters.
